SMTA Launches New Knowledge Base Platform

In December 2025, the SMTA launched a new platform for its Knowledge Base, where members can search and access over 6000 published technical papers and on-demand webinars. This update makes SMTA research easier to find and cite across the broader electronics manufacturing community.

One of the benefits of the new system is the improved visibility in search engines as well as scholarly indexes. Authors are now directly connected to published work and can be searched with a single click. New filters are available to narrow down a search by a range of years or publication type. Citation options can now be displayed for an article in any modern format required.

While anyone can now create a profile to save searches and get notified when new content is published, still only active SMTA members can access downloadable papers and presentation files.

The new platform can be found online here: https://smta.kglmeridian.com/

If you have any questions, please contact Director of Training and Education, Tara Dunn at tara@smta.org.
