ZESTRON's IPC/APEX 2011 Recap: Interview with ICONNECT007
Manassas, VA - April 27, 2011 - During the recent IPC/APEX 2011, Dr. Harald Wack, President ZESTRON worldwide and Sal Sparacino, Technical Marketing Manager, met with ICONNECT007 Editor Ray Rasmussen to provide an update on some of ZESTRON's current initiatives.
"We are looking at 2011 as a year for ‘continued differentiation' and further strengthening of ZESTRON's core competencies," said Dr. Wack. "ZESTRON is more than just a chemistry supplier to the electronics manufacturing industry. In addition to our strong R&D capabilities supported by a staff of more than 20 Ph.D.'s, ZESTRON's business model also includes a strong engineering support component as well as close collaboration with machine, solder paste and stencil manufacturers, thereby ensuring that our customers meet their cleaning requirements."
"Additionally, ZESTRON is further expanding its role as an educational leader in the industry through the presentation of studies, the publication of technical articles, on-site customer training, workshops and webinars as well as the focused support of the industry's associations such as the IPC and SMTA," Sal Sparacino added.
Last but not least, however, ZESTRON has decided to commit a substantial amount of resources to its social responsibility program. While the company previously contributed to various local charities, this year ZESTRON has chosen to support the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Foundation with a five year $100,000 donation. "My reasons are personal," Dr. Wack continues. "Several years ago, the son of one of our team members was diagnosed with CF, a debilitating disease without a cure and with severely underfunded research. Thus, 2011 is the year of continued differentiation, not only in terms of ZESTRON's business activities but also for our commitment to our community and the CF Foundation."
