This position is located at SEL’s newest, state of the art manufacturing facility in Lewiston, ID where you'll enjoy an unmatched quality of life. Provide engineering support in two or more areas in Manufacturing including training staff in assembly processes. Develop, document, implement, and sustain assembly process equipment and materials. Improve quality, yield, efficiency, and capacity of processes in accordance with strategic objectives. Develop and/or conduct Design of Experiments to identify root cause, evaluate new equipment and processes, or in support of process improvement activities. Interpret experiment results and provide recommendations to management. Evaluate new products for manufacturing compatibility per established DFM guidelines. Specify, evaluate, recommend, and conduct acceptance tests on assembly equipment and materials. Keep abreast of new developments in equipment, industry standards, best practices, and developments in assembly processes. Continuously identify, measure, follow, and improve Process Engineering processes. Other duties as assigned.
B.S. in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience Two years experience in surface mount and through-hole technology process development, documentation, maintenance, and improvement in an electronics manufacturing company Project management experience Familiarity with IPC, JEDEC, and Belcore industry standards Knowledge of statistics as applied to process capability measurements Ability to train production staff Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Background check results satisfactory to SEL Negative drug test result(s)
Thorough understanding of the materials used in the PCBA process Ability to lead a team Project management skills
