Position Summary Responsible for supervising the 2nd shift team, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality goals are realized for the work cell. The person in this position will participate as a team member at the cross-functional level to make operational improvements for all aspects of the 2nd shift team. Responsible for coordination with all functional areas relating to problem solving, cost reduction, product reliability and process improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day activities of 2nd shift manufacturing. Ensure product/service quality through proper utilization of resources and adherence to applicable standards Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's polices and applicable laws and regulations Lead activities to resolve issues and problems, identifying root cause and effecting appropriate corrective action Monitors and enables internal and external customer satisfaction Drives continuous improvement through deployment of best practices, such as Lean Six Sigma Maintain and continuously improve areas, which impact on Team Member safety Hires, manages career development, and assesses performance of assigned team members Assist in the development of budget and manages activities to accomplish financial objectives May coordinate team member recruitment and selection, career development, and performance assessment Identifies and assesses risks and deploys proactive mitigation plans Establish and maintain good working relationships with all functional disciplines within the organization. Gives general guidance on new assignments as needed Support Quality Assurance efforts to quickly resolve defect issues and support continuous improvement initiative. Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Secondary Accountabilities Attend applicable internal or external customer meetings Participate on special project teams Support new product introduction activities
Basic Qualifications (include education and years of experience required) 5+ years related experience Associates degree in related discipline or equivalent experience Bachelors degree preferred Proficient technical expertise with demonstrated application Experience with Industrial Engineering concepts and 5S/6S techniques Knowledge and familiarity with standards (ISO, AS, etc) Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
Additional Qualifications Knowledge of SMT and surface-mount processes. Proven problem solving skills with excellent aptitude to help the organization reach it’s maximum potential with CCA manufacturing.
