What You Need to Know about the

SMTA International Virtual Conference and Expo

 

On Monday, September 28th, SMTA Headquarters will launch the annual SMTA International Conference and Exposition featuring over 100 on-demand technical presentations and interactive exhibit hall. The event will open at 8:00am (US Central), with on-demand access until Friday, October 23rd.

Once you are logged in, you will see a navigation tab at the top of your screen that looks like this:

 

 

You will enter the event through the Virtual Lobby. Here is where you can click on the Exhibitor Hall, Auditorium, or the Help Desk.

 

The Auditorium is where paid attendees can access the on-demand presentations and live sessions by clicking the main screen:

 

The Exhibit Hall, will look similar to this:

 

 

 

Click on a booth name to learn more and chat. You can click on their booths in the alphabetized list in the  Exhibitors Index.

 

Once you click on a booth, there are several links that may be available:

To interact with the exhibitors, click on Chat. This will lead you to a group text chat room.

Exhibitors can choose candidates from the Group Chat or who are logged into the event and invite them to a one-on-one chat. This chat can be conducted via text or video. You do not have to turn on the webcam to your computer or mobile device, but this feature can make it faster for you to talk with the exhibitors if you wish. If you do choose to use the video chat feature, be sure you are professionally dressed and in an environment where you are distraction-free and with a professional background behind you.
