Printed circuit boards are the foundation, the building blocks, for all modern electronic products. The long-term quality and reliability of any product is determined by the quality of the substrate

So, what should we examine or specify to avoid problems during printed board assembly? What are the most common problems experienced on tin/lead and lead-free circuit boards and how can we identify these prior to use?

Topics included in our webinar:

  • Overview of PCB manufacture
  • PCB specification – IPC and user documents
  • Visual inspection
  • Plating thickness measurement
  • Solder mask thickness and adhesion
  • Solderability test methods
  • Thermal shock testing
  • Cleanliness assessment
  • Solvent resistance
  • Auditing suppliers
  • Common PCB failure modes

After the webinar there is a Q&A session which provides ample time for all delegate questions to be answered. However, if a delegate has a process example they would like covered in the webinar, it will need to be provided in advance of the session. The webinar will run for between 60-90min with question and answer session. The webinars are limited to 100 delegates/companies. A copy of each of the slides presented will be provided after the webinar.
