Room Temperature Stable Solder Pastes
The drives for cost reduction and lean manufacturing have push material suppliers and end users to continually improve their products and processes. This presentation will review features, benefits and overall cost savings of using temperature stable Pb-free no-clean solder pastes. These features and benefits include improved printing, improved stability, wider reflow performance and improved inventory management.
Conformal Coatings and their Interactions with Flux Residues and other Contaminates
The demands on electric assembly materials continue to increase. Technical and regulatory compliance requirements drive the need to develop new materials. Understanding the chemical interaction between common SMT chemistries is key. This presentation will examine the interaction between conformal coatings with flux residues and other contaminates.
Dave Edwards is a Senior Technical Service Engineer with Henkel Electronic Materials. He has work in the electronic materials industry for over 20 years. Dave has spent the last 15 years in technical service and applications. He has a broad knowledge of many materials and applications associated with electronics assembly processing. As an active member of IPC, Dave serves on numerous IPC Task Groups including IPC-HDBK-850, IPC-CC-830 and IPC-SM-817A. Dave graduated with Bachelor of Science degree from University of California, Davis.
