Our next event will be a tour of Sandvine's manufacturing facility in Waterloo. Sandvine is focused on protecting and improving the quality of experience on the internet. If you are interested in their award-winning network equipment, software, and/or services this event is for you. This complete facility tour will provide a better understanding of what happens at Sandvine including the manufacturing and testing of network equipment.
The tour is going to be held on March 3rd, 2011 from 11:30am to 1:30pm. Lunch will be provided. Please e-amil us at UWSMTA@gmail.com if you are interested in attending. The deadline for registration is March 1st.
Soldering workshop
Due to interest in manual soldering and the overwhelming response from our last soldering workshop we have decided to run another soldering workshop this term. The details on this workshop will be sent out to everyone on our mailing list later on in the term. This hands on workshop will be run by a technician from RIM where you will be able to improve your soldering skills while soldering components to PCBs.
